
Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya Team Achieves Hat-Trick of Victories in Inter-College Basketball Tournament

Sikar: The women’s basketball team of Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya, operated by the Gramin Mahila Shikshan Sansthan Samiti, delivered an outstanding performance in the inter-college women’s basketball tournament organized under Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University. The team secured a remarkable victory and achieved a hat-trick of wins, bringing pride and recognition to the institution.
During the closing ceremony, several distinguished guests were present, including retired sports officer Ishwar Singh, renowned player Ranjeet Singh Bagdiya, Principal of Law College Dr. Dilsukh Thalod, and Sports Secretary Kanheyalaal Jangid. Their presence encouraged and motivated the players, highlighting the importance of sports in academic institutions.
A total of seven teams participated in the competition, and all players demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. In the final match, the team of Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya delivered a dominant performance by defeating the team of Balika Mahavidyalaya, Lakshmangarh, with an impressive score of 59–29, thereby securing the championship title.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Gramin Mahila Shikshan Sansthan, Er. Jhabarmal, Treasurer Ramniwas Meel, Co-Secretary Prabhudayal Ola, member Chiman Singh, and College Principal Dr. Shubha Jakhar extended a warm welcome to the guests and congratulated the players for their excellent achievement.
During the program, local philanthropist (Bhamashah) Bhawarlal, a resident of Pilani, announced a generous donation of ₹1,00,000 to support girls’ education, further encouraging academic and sports development among female students. The event was efficiently conducted by Dr. Sangeeta Garwa, who ensured the smooth coordination of the entire program.
This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and sporting excellence of the students of Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya and reinforces the institution’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment through education and sports.
