Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sikar Wins Inter-College Karate Championship 2025–26

Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sikar, organized the Inter-College Karate Championship 2025–26 under the guidance of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of distinguished guests.

Shri Mahendra Kumar Meel, former teacher and social worker, presided over the program and encouraged the participants to uphold discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. He also announced a contribution of ₹1,00,000 to support the institution and promote women’s education. The Chief Guest, Shri Surendra Singh Shekhawat, Chief District Education Officer (CDEO), and Special Guest, Prof. Suman Jhuriya, Government Arts College,graced the occasion.

A total of six women’s teams and seven men’s teams participated in the championship, demonstrating excellent skill and competitive spirit through various Karate techniques. Gramin Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sikar emerged as the Winner in the Women’s category, while Shri Jeevan Mahavidyalaya secured the Runner-up position in the Men’s category.

The event was successfully conducted in the presence of university officials, referees, faculty members, and students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Subhag Jakhar and the singing of the National Anthem.
